    Third Draft of Agriculture and Rural Development Plan 2007-13

    The AMPK Project has developed a simple database that will provide MAFRD with detailed information at municipality level on who are the key stakeholders in Kosovo's agri-rural supply chain. This database has been designed to help MAFRD to:

    • increase competitiveness in the agri-rural sector;

    • link key stakeholders in the various commodity supply chains to the eight measures including ARDP 2007-13;

    • get opinion/feedback from farmers, rural households, economic operators and other key stakeholders on bottlenecks and policy issues, particularly in minority municipalities; and

    • allow rural stakeholders to increase their access to resources available under both EAR's Rural Development Projects and ARDP 2007-13.

    This database will be maintained by MAFRD's Department of Statistics, which will coordinate the data entry by municipalities. This responsibility will be supported by the EAR-funded Local Community Development Strategies' project that will start early in 2007.

    Pilot data entry is being conducted by Balkan Initiative in Shtime Municipality.
